    Move-In Information

Move-in dates are announced by email each year. First-year students usually move in on the Friday before the first day of classes, typically on a Wednesday. Transfer and returning students move in on the Sunday before the first day of classes.

Early-Arrival Dates: Dates are set each summer for student leaders who return to prepare for the beginning of the academic year, as well as for athletes according to NCAA guidelines for official move-in and pre-season start dates. Students who are a part of these groups have been confirmed and communicated with from their advisors and coaches.

Please ensure your Panther Checklist is cleared and that you’ve printed a Panther Pass for all vehicles that will be assisting with move-in! We look forward to seeing you on the Hilltop very soon!

Admitted students may request to commute through submitting a Request to Commute Form. 请求 will be reviewed by a committee and responded to on an ongoing basis.

It is important to note that financial aid packages are generated based on being a residential student. Should a student be approved to have commuter status, financial aid may be impacted with reduced funding.

请求 to be classified as a commuter student will be reviewed by the Commuter Request Committee based on the following criteria:

    • Distance from campus
    • Financial hardship
    • 家庭 circumstances

    Vacant Spaces and Consolidation

To maximize occupancy and efficiency, the College reserves the right to consolidate rooms and move students if a vacant same gender spaces exist elsewhere in the same 建筑 in order to create an open room. Consolidation will occur at the beginning of each Fall and Spring term.

The College may reassign a vacant space in a room or apartment at any time. While efforts are made to notify students of any changes, a new roommate may be assigned without prior notification. If a room or apartment is not entirely occupied and the Office of 居住生活 does not anticipate assigning an eligible new roommate, students may be offered an opportunity to pay the privatization rate for the vacant space from the date of vacancy through the remainder of the semester to ensure the space remains vacant. If a student pays the privatization rate for Fall semester and space demand is high for Spring semester, the Office of 居住生活 may assign a student to that space for the term.
